Adding layers to your hair style will help it to lay straight, especially if you have very thick hair or lots of hair. Extra layers will require more work when styling, particularly the shorter layers. It will help some if you blow dry the layers using a large round brush or even a paddle brush. Direct the layers down and under for best results.
